Christmas is just around the corner and then we’ll be rolling into a whole new year. We’ve been rather blessed to have heaps of high-quality games across 2023, but by comparison January 2024 is going to be rather quiet.
That doesn’t mean there isn’t a couple of awesome games coming out in January, 2024, though. Let’s talk about a couple of them, and then leap into the full list of videogames launching in January 2024.
The Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown – Janary 18
After a lengthy hiatus the iconic Prince of Persia series is making its grand return in January branded as a Ubisoft Original for PC, Switch, Xbox Series S/X, PS4 and PS5.
Despite what the name suggests, you play as Sargon as he attempts to find the missing Prince of Persia. The 2.5D action looks fast and fluid, and blends in metroidvania elements with sections of the map being locked until you get the right upgrades to progress.
Tekken 8 – January 26
Over nine years after the release of Tekken 7, Tekken 8 is finally coming to PS5, Xbox Series S/X and PC on January 26.
Boasting 32 fighters this is promising to be the greatest Tekken we’ve ever seen, and the early feedback from the fighting community seems to back that up.
