Denise Richards went through the wringer on the third season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.”
Richards revealed during a January 3 appearance on “Jeff Lewis Live” that she had “ruptured” both of her breast implants performing one of the dangerous tasks on the reality television series.
When asked by host Jeff Lewis about some of the harrowing stunts the celebrity recruits had to perform, including jumping from a boat to a helicopter, she noted, “I jumped off a bridge, too, and that’s when I ruptured my implants off of that thing.”
Richards shared additional details about the incident, explaining that the harness she was wearing to perform the stunt affected both of her breast implants.
“I still have to get them redone,” she added. “I was supposed to a month ago, but couldn’t because we were filming so I still have to get them redone.”
Richards said that she would be paying for the procedure herself rather than insurance or the show, sharing, “I think we pretty much signed our life away doing that show, it’s dangerous.”
The Fox reality series challenges a group of celebrities that are tasked with completing over a week of military training.
Last season featured a group of 14 celebrity recruits including JoJo Siwa, Savannah Chrisley and “Vanderpump Rules” star Tom Sandoval. Only three of the contestants who competed made it to the end of the training: “Bachelorette” star Tyler Cameron, Olympian Erin Jackson, and “Bachelor” star Nick Viall.
“Special Forces” returns for Season 3 on Jan. 8, 2025. According to a press release, this time around the show will take place in Wales and will have the recruits “enduring some of the harshest, most grueling challenges from the playbook of the actual Special Forces selection process.”
Celebrities featured on Season 3 include Stephen Baldwin, Carey Hart, Brody Jenner, Cam Newton, Christy Carlson Romano and more.
The season also features Trista Sutter, who revealed in November 2024 that her mysterious absence back in May 2024 was not due to a “divorce/nervous breakdown/mid-life crisis/death/trial separation,” but rather her casting on “Special Forces.”
