How the ‘House of the Dragon’ creators shot episode 4’s epic dragon battle

Want to know exactly how the Battle of Rook’s Rest at the end of House of the Dragon Season 2, episode 4 came together?

Well Max has released a 20-minute “Making Of” mini-documentary breaking it all down — from how the mid-air dragon dual was styled (the dance was based on the way birds of prey fight) to how they shot those third-person dragon rider scenes (featuring a blue screen, a bronco-style machine, and so much “wind” that Eve Best stares directly at the camera post-take and simply says: “Fuck me sideways”).

The video above is worth it for that moment alone, but it also provides an interesting insight into just how much work goes into those sequences.
