Snap! Stylish minds think alike. Now is the ideal time for some scarf action. This is a lovely That’s Not My Age reader, Jane Newnham, who I met at Somerset House a couple of weeks ago. We were on location shooting some street style photos for a subscriber feature – quick reminder that more in-depth style inspiration, analysis and advice, can be found over on my Patreon page. Subscribing helps support That’s Not My Age in its entirety and keep this show on the, er, internet. More details on what giving a small monthly amount means HERE. I thank you.
The beautiful silk chenille and wool scarf I’m wearing was a thank you gift from Wallace Sewell for featuring their small business on That’s Not My Age. (Another reminder that a subscription helps to fund this type of feature, for all readers). A gorgeous combination of crimson, blush pink, burnt orange and sky blue, the textured scarf goes with many things and garners compliments wherever I go.
In addition to the outfit-enhancing, draught-excluding scarf, I’m layering up with a knitted sweater vest. Or what we Brit Kids of the 1970s call a tank top. Perfect over a long-sleeved T-shirt, jersey roll neck or classic white shirt. Go dressier by teaming a sweater vest with a statement blouse, or use one to tame a boho dress. There are many ways to keep warm and carry on.
