Ubisoft reports 27% sales increase in 2023/24

French publishing giant Ubisoft has reported €2.3 billion ($2.5 billion) in sales for the year ending March 31st, 2024.

According to the firm’s latest financial results, a 26.8 per cent increase year-on-year, while the company hit a new record in net bookings. Ubisoft brought in €2.32 billion ($2.52 billion), a rise of 34 per cent year-on-year. 85.6 per cent of these came from digital sales – more or less consistent year-on-year – while 64.5 per cent came from back catalogue sales, driven by Rainbow Six Siege.

“Our FY 2024 results confirm that Ubisoft is back on track on its profitable growth trajectory, with record annual and Q4 net bookings, and operating income aligned with our targets,” CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot said.

“This year marked a pivotal first step in our turnaround, showcasing solid performance and the first benefits of our transformation toward a more balanced and recurring business model, one supported by multiple revenue streams. The year also demonstrated the strength and value of our key assets including our talented global teams, a diversified portfolio of high quality franchises that drove our back-catalog revenues to all-time highs, passionate communities of fans across franchises, cutting-edge proprietary technologies and a unique position in the gaming industry that enabled us to sign profitable partnerships. At the same time, we continued to adapt to a fast-changing industry and made further progress on transforming the organization at all levels.”
